DRINKING SONGS february 7th saw the release of matt's new album 'drinking songs' on french label ici d'ailleurs (http://www.icidailleurs.com/). monday the 14th, it's also out in spain on acuarela (http://www.acuareladiscos.com/). 'drinking songs' goes on in the direction that matt started with 'the mess we made' and it has turned out to be another beautiul and moody record. the original cover art is again by uncle vania, who also did the sleeves for 'i poo poo...' and 'little lost soul'. go to the discography section on the site for a link to more of his art. for now, those outside france and spain can probably best buy 'drinking songs' from either one of the two labels. distribution in the usa is being worked on, but no definitve date as yet. norman records in the uk (http://www.normanrecords.com/) are expecting to have 'drinking songs' sometime in march; french web store FNAC (http://www.fnac.com/) have it available already. other online stores will probably follow over the next few weeks. CONCERTS several concerts are planned for the coming months, but right now only two are confirmed: - march 9th at mains d'oeuvres, saint-ouen, france. show starts at 20:30 and also features micro:mega and manyfingers. check www.mainsdoeuvres.org for details. - april 2nd at the rhâââ lovely festival in fernelmont, belgium. the festival starts at 14:30 and also features hood and manyfingers among many others. check www.rhaaalovely.net for details. please note that the show in paris planned for february 28th has been rescheduled and is now the gig on march 9th! by the way, i have added a concerts section to the site, so you can see at a glance where matt will be playing. it's the second menu item from the top (which used to be 'site news', something i doubt anyone ever looked at). WHAT'S WRONG VIDEO renaud de foville of le cargo webzine has made a beautiful video for 'what's wrong', edited together from some intimate live footage. it is available online at http://www.lecargo.org/spip/ram/clip.ram. be sure to check it out, it's definitely worth it. this main le cargo site features many interviews and reviews, so be sure to browse around after you've watched the video (and if your french is good enough). until next time. take care, maarten www.thirdeyefoundation.com this email was sent to you because you are subscribed to the newsletter of http://www.thirdeyefoundation.com if you no longer wish to receive this newsletter, please send an email with 'unsubscribe 3EF ' to news@thirdeyefoundation.com or go to http://www.thirdeyefoundation.com, choose 'newsletter' and unsubscribe
